Using a Person's Name for a Pandemic

The World Health Organization has already used 10 of its 24 letters to describe six variants of interest and four variants of concern that have been identified since December 2020. This means that a new naming system might need to be found. Naming things, nomenclature is this blend of both like systems science and also kind of psychological science. If we don't treat it like a science, we suffer the consequences. And we also miss out on the joys because naming things is also fun.
