Labour's Progress in Local Elections

Local elections take place in non-metropolitan authorities. They're a better barometer of how the parties are doing than opinion polls. The last time these particular elections were held four years ago, both the lay party and the Conservative party did fairly badly. Both sides have been trying to play down any possibility of doing well. But I think the key test is, is labour making progress? Is it maintaining the leads that people think it should be maintaining at the government or equally? There's no rishi-sunak bounce going on right now.
