Voter suppression specifically affects black people, working class, minorities disenfranchised people the most. Studies have suggested that voter ID laws cause higher drops in voter turnout among voters of color than amongst white voters. It's also important to note that we can't get too comfortable as constituents. And Angela Davis says it best: Local elections have global ramifications.
