Theophilus North by Thornton Wilder

Simien Zoll: My favorite novel I've read in the last five years at least is called Theophilus North. It's written by the novelist and playwright Thornton Wilder, best known for his play as Our Town and the Bridge of San Luis Rey. He describes a sort of encounter with the Holy Spirit of God that will serve as a useful backdrop to what he'll say today.
