The Benefits of Hooks

When hooks came out, I remember looking around because the announcement at least I didn't wrap my head around it. What I didn't understand about the pitch was this seemed like a more complicated way to solve this. And then once I saw it, it was a lot easier for me to kind of have like more of a concrete conversation and say like okay so like is this isIt's not programming unless you're pontificating about something you don't actually have personal experience with right?
