The Progression on the Spiritual Path
There tends to be a progression on the spiritual path of what I would call increasingly better, higher and maybe lighter motivations. Every motivation has an element of ego in it, you know, lower ego, higher ego. And that if you can connect with those higher motivations is helpful. It's like when I realized that I might be able to help other people by writing a book that talks about my experiences with all these different teachers. That made me feel lighter or broader or deeper than I should write a book for money.
