What's the Difference Between Above and Below Ground Carbon Storage?
Trees store carbon above ground and what's visible, but there's a vast amount of storage that occurs underground as well. Forty five per cent of forest carbon stock is in the living biomassa,. That would be the trunk and the leaves, but it also includes the roots which, you know, are sort of out of sight. And then forty five percent as in the soil, organic matter, so other parts of the forests that are in other living parts of soil. Ten % in and even just dead down branches, whatwoll be considered like dead wood and litter.
