Few traits are as destructive as an appetite for praise. A lot of people like making money more than they enjoy having money. The stock market is rational, but investors play different games and those games look irrational to people playing a different game. You only know someone well if you can correctly predict how they will react in a stressful situation. No one admires a person for their luck.
If you can explain something important in just a few words, it's a double win: You've probably found something that's obviously true, without needing further explanation or detail. And it's probably something you'll remember for a long time, easy to recall without having to memorize dozens of details.
