The Future of R&B

For a lot of its history, and partly because it was so closely linked to black musicians and black listeners, R&B was a little bit disreputable. But one thing that happened in the 2010s is that R&B gets super respectable, right? You get Beyonce and Frank Ocean and Janelle Monet and Miguel as examples. There are still artists who resonate disproportionately among black listeners.
