Midtown Manhattan is 13 degrees higher in temperature this week than the average of Manhattan. In areas where you have high density and a lot of concrete, the concrete absorbs more heat and then reemits it. This is also the reason why apartments on Central Park are so expensive because that is the big green lung basically in the middle of Manhattan.
