The Origin of Hydra Regeneration

Abraham Trembly published about Hydra regeneration in his memoirs in 1744. It may be the first animal where regeneration was discovered, although I think that's probably debatable,. But it doesn't go that far back. Some of our cultures have been passed from other labs. So they're 30 or 40 years old. They've just been copying themselves this entire time. And they're spread out between many, many different labs. Amazing.
