Is This a Short Term Prediction?
Inflation appears to be rolling over the worst of the, if we call it the energy crisis. Libor five year money was running at 3.6%. It's nudged up to 4%. That gives you an indication that banks are borrowing and lending on is a 3.64%. And that's where things like a five year fix will fall. The trend is a little bit up in the short term, but then down a lot more in the medium term. We were almost at peak by the sounds of it, maybe another half percent or 0.75%. But the exact numbers and basis points is largely academic.
