i've an interesting relationship with the phrase radical honesty. Not everything that a man discloses can be considered as timely, and not every timely utterance can be considered suitable for one who hears it. So there's kind of these these three steps of radical honesty. And so i think the mistake we make is, like the story you just told, is we want to be radically honest but are actually being quite selfish because then it's about us. As the buddhists say, we can't be extreme in any direction.
