Particle Physics Isn't About Finding the Ultimate Constituents of Matter

We do not know the final ultimate constituents of matter. We have access to that vi epistemology, but always approximately. Particle physics is about finding our best explanation of what we know the constituents of matter are at any given time. So too with mathematics. Necessary truth is not the reward we get for doing mathematics. If you could grock necessary truths in and of themselves, that would be inherent. But how would you escape from the fallibility of the human mind?
