The Cardinals Are Done
I do think the Cardinals are done like I think it's time for the Cardinals to evaluate themselves as sellers and they can regroup quickly. Wainwright is not going to get another shot he's just going to retire at the end of this year as a as a cardinal, so maybe they just keep rolling him out there. Goldschmidt would be something that could fetch something at least uh he is signed through 2024 but still if you're okay with maybe at least like a bit of a rebuild then it makes a lot of sense to trade him.
