Loyalty oaths in spirit or in script of yesteryear seem to be making a resurgence on both the right and the left. And I imagine that's probably one of the things that caused you the alarm that led you to write this book. It seems like we have a problem of leadership in our society and around the world where it seems like we're either intentionally or not, bad chefs are spreading through society. That's a basic analogy for two kinds of reasoning. There's like reasoning from first principles and reasoning by analogy.
