Behind the Bastards

CHAPTER

China and China Relations in the 20th Century

In 1969, China basically gets into a war with the Soviet Union in 1969. This has a really major effect on what sort of Chinese industrialization looks like over the course of the mid 20th century. And it's destroyed in part because of what starts happening in the 70s, which is to sort of warm up between the US and China based on Nixon and Kissinger's attempts to sort of peel the Chinese away from the Soviet Union.
