Introduction
The emancipator and abolitionist newspaper was born in the nineteenth century, at a time when many americans were challenging the assumption that the country would never end the institution of slavery. The project is being launched by the boston globe and plans to begin publication in the new year. Veteran journalist amber paine is co editor in chief of the emancipator; she joins us now for a word about the future of anti races journalism.
