The Impressionists - What Made Them So Different?

Uj'en Mori Sō was encouraged to become a professional painter by her mother. Morisseau, an American who came to Paris in the late 1870s, had freedom and access to money that Uj'en didn't have. Some people think Manet's influence on Morisseau was as profound as his influence on Monceau. There was feeling that Impressionism was good for women because it was a softer option; they were naturally more superficial.
