The Importance of Chief Executives in Public Broadcasting

The report says the editorial policy while strong needs some changes in how ARINZ considers balance. It's been pointed out throughout this process by some people that it's unusual to have a chief executive who's also there to achieve as you are. There has always been an ally of executive people and we've got a lot of editors, program managers and bureau chiefs responsible for supporting our people. The new editorial director will be someone who can live and breathe this stuff - I think that's a very positive thing.
