"The only time I ever like stopped or we weren't in firefight is that night," he says. "I got to sleep for a three hour chunk, like the first night." His sergeant gave him a sleeping bag with a tarp over top of it so he could have privacy. He was never in the back but just moved from front to front during his service as an Iraqi soldier.
