For free time, every single chapter was no more than 2000 words. If you're working on a book building on that tiny task idea, consider shorter chapters. I always find it intimidating and somewhat boring to try to follow typical business book format of 10 really robust, intricate, well researched, statistically significant chapters. To get the meat of something down, consider that you only really need to write 500 to 1000 words at a time. Do the thinking that morning with your coffee, like when you make your coffee or your tea in the morning,. figure out which micro essay you're going to write and do all the thinking in advance.
