The Importance of Indigenous Peoples in the Management and Development of Their Country

It's amazing when we were starting the concept of rangers in the mid 90s at the time we were debating a couple of things. Now you see these ranger forums around the country they attract hundreds of people and we've seen it spread right through from the north into central Australia,. In Tasmania, last week I was in La Perouse here in Sydney and they've got a ranger program. So it's just taken off and it tells you the importance that Indigenous people place on the management and development of their country. The nature repair market is an opportunity to assist with the reconnection of that but also to provide some rigor around the development of a credit market for the people. And so
