Is the State Really Supporting Universities?
Universities were not fundamentally, in our sense, state institutions. Not true any more. Almost all the world outside the united states has its universaty systems almost entirely directly supported by the state. States are allowed to have their propagandam strees and they're allowed to have strictly vocational, non degree based training porams. Theyre allowed to have a whole lot of other things. But they've wanted to participate in and kind of borrow the value of that institute form as its developed over nearly the last thousand years.
