The Importance of Sim in Security
Sim was born out of the basic need for teams to weave disparate data from all their security tools into one pane of glass. Some people naively assume that sim was born for compliance reporting, even though it was born before compliance reporting in the late 90s. So we really are saying that sim should be whatever the team that runs it wants but doesn't it place a lot of challenges on the sim designer to address all of that?
