CNN's John Sutter talks with social scientist David Frum about his new paper. It looks at how cooperation works, why people cooperate in groups as opposed to being selfish. People often think of cooperation as like that guy's a nice guy or she's selfish, he says. But what we found is that cooperation is actually hugely flexible and it's shaped by the norms in pretty radical ways.
