How to Watch Cinematography the Most

I tend to watch your cinematography the most. I just watched Cabaret, which I didn't remember how weirdly that was edited. That they'll just like splice like a person's eye for like two seconds in the middle of a scene. And yeah, it was really, I can't watch movies anymore, to be honest, without completely ruining it. Do you have like a thing that you're like watching for the most when you're watching? Are you watching like thinking about directing or editing or like?
