The Holy Spirit's Job Is Conviction

Jesus taught that when you glimpse how good his kingdom is, your heart will be moved so profoundly you'll traye everything you've got to take hold of it. Jesus is not afraid of empowering the disqualified. He's afraid of putting authority in the hands of those who have bought the illusion that they're qual. Just imagine if peter was leading the early church without first being broken, really broken by his own failure. Without a broken peter, you do not get pentecost. And so my prayer is consistently, jesus, break me. Break me like you broke peter. Break my life open that it might become bread for the world around me to feast on.
