The templeton foundation is blameless and all of this no think about what happened i mean jesse's already said it right they took a program that was marginally or just probably if you did any kind of rigorous study of it completely ineffective for 10 to 14 year olds. The army uses interventions prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy which have both received their own criticisms including that they're a little bit like quick fixish. These programs are supposed to last like 14 weeks but the difference is you're sitting one-on-one with a therapist you're going through your trauma figuring out what your triggers are.
Journalist, podcaster, and rapper Jesse Singal joins us to talk about his new book The Quick Fix, positive psychology (scam?), cancel culture in the media and academia (overblown?), Substack incentives, and lots more. Plus David and Tamler argue about the epistemology of ghosts.
Special Guest: Jesse Singal.
