The Copyright Rabbit Hole

The US Constitution proposes that Congress enact a copyright law, not directly calling it that. The original limitation on copyright duration was 15 years. Now it's effectively unlimited. It's like a lifetime of the author plus an additional 75 years. And if you wanted to train only on public domain data in the United States, that would mean Wikipedia,. anything with the creative commons, citizens, or anything that was like pre 1930. So basically we would not have anything in our models aside from Wikipedia that spoke of anything as recent as the Great Depression.
