There is a federal excise tax on all guns and amo and other sporting goods equipment, to the tune of about 13%. When you buy a gun or you buy any amo, you're paying a 13 % excise tax that goes to support wild life conservation. Most of the money comes from recreational shooters. 70-80% higher comes from recreational shooter who buys pocket pistol which kicks into pitman robertson. So i don't knor what the hell it is.
