Andrew clavin's new book is a deep dive into romantic english poets and out of it provides a way of reading into jesus. He was particularly struck with the scene in the gospels where peter walks on water And he becomes fearful and he starts to sink but jesus says to him Oh ye of little faith, how much faith are you supposed to have? Why would I turn the other cheek if somebody hits me and would I at in fact do it? Clavin: "I like to say that I taught myself greek, but I i'm not very good at it"
