In everyday conversation, the main goal is not precise communication of objective information. If you don't get the exact objective details of what my experience was, that's not so crucial, right? What i care about is your caring about what i'm talking about. Gryce: The various things that make a conversation go well are that you pretend to understand each other to a certain extent. Buti much of ordinary conversation, the goal is not to have the main goal to communicate facts and figures.
