The Revolution That We Have Is a Decentralized Database

CNN's John Sutter talks about the pros and cons of a decentralized database. Instead of one central entity crossing off data, instead what has to happen is all the databases out there have to achieve consensus - 51% must agree that this transaction is valid. He says legislation would likely still be needed to address the problem with energy use in crypto-currencies.
