CFD in the F1 Space
The modern way of doing aerodynamics is to do it in a complete computer simulation, which is called CFD. It's got some advantages and disadvantages - you can't look inside brake ducts or radiators for example. Mercedes get like the third least wind tunnel CFD testing, which gives them a bit of advantage over Red Bull and Ferrari. Rippler got the least and teams at the back of the grid, Sadler Williams, have got the most trying to just balance the scales up between the habs.
