Fr. Shay Kearns, co-creator of Queer Theology, podcast host and ordained priest, sits down with Tim to discuss his story as a transgender man in Christian spaces. Shay explains his background in the Evangelical church and in Evangelical education. Shay and Tim discuss his exploration of both sexuality and gender as a leader in the American Baptist tradition and in his education at Union College's seminary. Shay explains how he got involved with the Old Catholic church and the differences between it and Roman Catholicism. Lastly, Tim and Shay discuss why the Evangelical church struggles with challenges to its theology.
