When we play, we release indorpins, a neuro chemical associated with ease and confidence. Unstructured play also helps kids learn how to work in groups and resolve conflict. We find that playful adults report more life satisfaction, better coping skills. But the stark reality is that safe access to play in green spaces often comes down, regrettably, to the color of our skin and our zipcos.
