A near-death experience is when someone dies and then they come back to life. Usually because of some medical help, like you see in the movies. Many people feel better about their painful loss after hearing about these experiences. They say that death is a passage into another place. Even though events leading up to the death can be agonizing, once a person gets out of his body, there is no pain. And in fact, a great sense of relief.
