Deconstructing Yourself

CHAPTER

Is There a Pushback to Visualization?

In tibetan tradition, the most common form of shamat acomabiding practice is to visualize the image of a buddha. It's like the first meditation you'll get from a lama, tay one de on ye. Get a statue or get a tanka, gaze at it for a while and then close your eyes and try to re rated in your mind's eye,. And that's way more commonly used than the breath awareness. So i'm curious if you have noticed that same thing, or if that's just anecdotaly my experience, and also if you have any ideas what that might be about.
