CKD - What to Look for in Patients With Diabetes
On physical exam, always start with the vitals. In patients in whom you suspect volume depletion, orthostatic vitals can be a helpful index. The presence of enlarged kidneys with multiple cis is suggestive of polycystic kidney disease (CKD) Certain medications such as NSAID should be avoided in CKD.
