Antoinette's Apprehension of the Lion's Gate
Antoinette said, didn't you hear? Everyone got a call this morning. There's no meeting because of the investigation. Lu looked at her and wondered what this meant for her report. Antoinette studied her curiously impatience, amusement and also derision passing across her face. Such was life, lu thought, standing in her windowless office, or at least her current life, waiting in line for the dangled garret of understanding.
