Having high blood pressure means you're about 20 to 21% more likely to die in a given year than someone who's identical to you in every way except they don't have high blood pressure. Don't smoke. But be strong as hell. Have a high VO2 max. There's still an enormous stochastic bad luck component to life. I could walk out of here and get hit by a car but I'd like to control what I can.
