Reagan's foreign policy spooked the USSR and partially caused its eventual downfall. Reagan is seen as the US president who was the embodiment of all that. And in some sense domestically, that probably is the correct perspective. Of course, communism falling reforms in China just changed everything. But yeah, a fascinating part history discussed.
