Luther is trying to shift policy, i now think so. There's something there about really wanting to put the peasants down. He sees it as all the work of his adversary, thomas munzer and andreas karlstadt. And that's also very interesting, eny because the enmity with andreaskarlstadt goes right back. They were originally co workers.
