Is Genetic Testing Ready for Screening?

One in 300 athletes when you do screening that includes an electrocardiogram like EKG has one of these conditions. Anomalous coronary arteries are actually the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in middle school athletes and very young adolescents. If I have the screen for any of the conditions you've just spoken about how high is that risk because it would affect my calculus as to whether I should continue to play a sport or not Or be physically active or not. You can also have risk outside of sport so some just because you're either playing sport doesn't mean you're not going to have an event.
