"I conceptualize it as a form of resistance. Instead of accepting the status quo, families are resisting what's happening in their schools," she says. "Having the experience they have now being surrounded by this nurturing of their entire being will help them face challenges as they get older." She adds that homeschooling should not be illegal and there is much more to education than just public or private school.
