Is There a Consequence of Disinflation?
I think that ultimately we're entering an era of higher structural inflation, that's gonna be volatile. There have been three big variables that I would argue have contributed to disinflation over the better part of the last 30 years. The Fed right now trying to combat this type of inflation through destroying demand via interest rates is putting a band aid on a patient that needs surgery and improving supply.
