The Metamaterials of a UFO Crash

One clue that could tell you whether something is from outside of our solar system is does it have different isotope ratios than the materials we have here on Earth? Here on Earth, we have mostly carbon 12, but some carbon 14. If you go to another solar system, you might find, oh, they've got tons of carbon 14 and very little carbon 12. That's at least a clue that it's not from here. The other thing he's referring to is metamaterials. Metamaterials are materials that we are currently developing that based on very small microscopic structures in the material gives them special properties.
