The Effects of Phthalates on Breast Cancer Risk
Phthalates are not generally intentionally added to cosmetic products with the exception of diethyl thalate, which may be used in fragrances. The study also did not control for the factors that are known to affect the risk of breast cancer, including family history and their age. So it makes it hard to determine whether the results of these studies are due to actually exposure to the parabens or some other factors.
