Introduction
Theru is a travel writer with an interest in exotic places. He visited a bookshop where the covers were pictures of naked people. The magazines showed breasts and rubber underwear, and there were children on some of them. While this may have trans pired almost forty years ago, it's worth reflecting that most british adults alive to day grew up in a society in which child abuse was indeed hiding in plain view. We were duped by two major cultural phenomena that have played havoc with the british collective consciousness. This is the b b c.
